The journey is part of the destination

A trip to Barania Góra begins long before you reach the tower. Steady footsteps, woodland sections and changing surroundings make the trail an important part of the experience. This is an option for visitors who want to devote part of their stay to a proper mountain hike.

The summit stands at 1,220 metres above sea level. Its steel lookout tower offers a broad panorama. The present structure was built in 1991 and reopened following renovation in 2024.

Seeing the landscape from above

Rest briefly at the summit before climbing to the platform. In clear weather, successive ridges form a wide panorama, with information panels helping you identify the landscape.

The tower is an addition to the hike, subject to conditions and access. Even if wind or weather prevents a climb, completing your planned route can be rewarding in itself.

Walking through protected nature

In Barania Góra Nature Reserve, use only authorised trails. Do not cut corners or leave the path for a photograph. Walking attentively lets you discover the forest while respecting its tranquillity.
